University project integrates groups of migrants to society

Mexico, Sep. 5 (Notimex).- IBERO Tijuana launched the first Training, Self-Employment and Entrepreneurship Center titled "The Triangle", in order to incorporate into society the communities and migrant groups of the Tijuana-San Diego border that return to Mexico.

It plans to serve 10 thousand people a year, focusing on the sectors of foreign and Mexican migrants, deported professionals and members of less favored communities.

It is to offer Spanish and computer courses, certifications in technical degrees, employability and labor field, psychological care, physical diagnosis, training for cultural competence and entrepreneurship development workshops in business.

In a statement, IBERO Tijuana said that it is the only Jesuit institution in the region that creates this project to achieve a more just, solidary, inclusive and productive society through the power of education.

In addition to supporting these communities, it promotes environmental care, recycling of water and clean technologies, among other issues.

The center will open its doors in February 2018, at Paseo del Río street, Zona Río Tercera Etapa in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.
