Mexico, Oct. 12 (Notimex) .- MasterCard announced the launch of a technology tool that will inhibit data theft fraud at account and card issuing banks.
In a statement, the company specializing in electronic payment said that the new Early Detection System is to provide advanced alert to help financial institutions take quicker action in the face of filtering or usurpation of data.
It indicated that the system is available to issuers globally, while said it captures all types of fraud throughout all transaction channels.
This is, it explained, because the System identifies active merchandising of account data and recognizes cards that have been tested before being used to commit fraud.
Additionally, it alerts to account data that appears to be at risk without sufficient evidence to declare an account data engagement event.
With this, it said, issuers will have at hand a wider set of alerts of risk accounts up to six to 18 months earlier than other similar traditional mechanisms.
