Bogota, Nov. 10 (Notimex) .- The Tourism Trust of Puerto Vallarta and the Convention and Visitors Bureau of the Riviera Nayarit, initiated the promotion of this Mexican destination in the cities of Bogotá, Bucaramanga and Medellín.
The caravan promoting this destination is carried out with the support of the Tourism Promotion Council of Mexico, with the aim of training travel agencies and other tour operators in different regions of Colombia.
The manager of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust, Ana Regla, explained to Notimex that this caravan does it twice a year to Colombia, where the interest of local tourists to Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit is increasing.
These caravans serve to "train travel agencies on the destination's novelties as a whole with wholesale operators and airlines, to offer composed or packaged products, to Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit", she said.
She said that on average 100 tourism operators have approached every day to the promotion route of this destination that offers sun, beach and culture.
"The topics that most attracts the attention of foreign tourists from Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit are culture and tradition. We are not a destination only for sun and beach, which preserves the town with cobbled streets, red roofs. The beaches are paradisiacal, unlike other places", Ana commented.
“Colombian tourists are increasingly interested in our destination; we have a very good response from Colombian operators who want to train to sell the destination of Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit”, she said.
