Guanajuato, Gto., Mexico, Jan. 12 (Notimex).- The Ministry of Tourism (Sectur, for its acronym in Spanish) of the state will participate in the Feria de León with a stand in the Guanajuato Pavilion where it will present the tourist offer that will highlight the roots and traditions with an important artisanal, gastronomic and educational exhibition, informed Ricardo Vázquez López, director of Promotion and Dissemination of the dependency.
Visitors can enjoy "Astral Experience in the Bajío: Guanajuato Skies", the replica of the Model School located in the Magic Village of Mineral del Pozos, the prizes that have positioned Guanajuato as the best in Public Policy.
As well as its tourist offer, like its two Heritage Cities, its 5 Magical Towns, the Network of Tourist Stops, Routes and Circuits, among others.
It is estimated to exceed the number of visitors who came to the stand last year, which was more than 18 thousand.
In its 2018 edition, the Guanajuato Pavilion will be presented in an area of 10 thousand square meters to offer products and services, where state agencies and 804 entrepreneurs from 46 municipalities meet, with the presence of the 8 collective brands, 21 designers, 21 entrepreneurs, and producers of the following sectors: Leather-Footwear, Textile-Clothing, Foodstuffs, Handicrafts, industries in development and social inclusion.
The León Fair takes place from January 12 to February 6 to offer entertainment and fun to families, becoming one of the best events in the world.
Vázquez López added that for this year the fair expects 5 million 600 thousand visitors and the generation of an economic income of 2 thousand 841 million pesos, considering the expense of local and foreign attendees.
Meanwhile, the municipality of Leon estimates the arrival of about 133 thousand tourists in hotel, with a growth of 3% compared to the previous year.
The percentage of average hotel occupancy is estimated at 59%, showing a variation of 2 percentage points with respect to 2017. "In the Ministry of Tourism, all and all, we are committed to guarantee the right of women to live free of violence".
