Mexico, Mar. 13 (Notimex).- In order to offer a fast and reliable connection to more people who are in public spaces such as shopping centers, airports or transport stations, Google developed the Google Station platform, which implements connectivity points through WiFi.
In the presentation, the vice president of Product, Anjali Joshi, pointed out that the platform launched in Mexico arrives for the first time in Latin America, to offer access to the network in more places and for a longer time.
"We asked ourselves why not bring more Wi-Fi networks to more places and more hours in the day, and from there came the idea of Google Station and to bring public WiFi, and today we launch it in Mexico, the first country in Latin America to have Google Station," she said.
In partnership with SitWifi, Google will offer free connection to Mexican users in more than 100 places with high traffic in Mexico City and throughout the country, before the end of 2018.
Although at the moment, Google Station is present in 56 public locations in Mexico, including airports, shopping centers and bus stations.
It is worth mentioning that this platform has operated in India and Indonesia, and connectivity points have provided quality Internet to nearly eight million people.
"Access means giving people connectivity, high speed, and relevance in Internet connectivity, many users who start using the Internet for the first time feel this experience as something very meaningful for their lives and that is what we want to achieve," she added.
The platform launched by Google facilitates locals, systems integrators, companies and Internet service providers with access to fiber, configure, maintain and monetize their WiFi networks in a simple and secure way, making public connections fast and protected.
