Mexico, Mar. 15 (Notimex).- The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE, for its acronym in Spanish), Marcelo Ebrard, expressed the solidarity of Mexico to New Zealand, after two armed attacks this Friday against two mosques in the town of Christchurch.
After reiterating the Mexican government's position of rejection of violence, the foreign affairs minister acknowledged the peaceful nature of that country and recognized them as promoters of democracy and human rights.
"Mexico embraces NewZeland in solidarity and rejects the violence that has brought pain and death. We are with you," he wrote on his Twitter account @m_ebrard.
Two firearms attacks on two mosques in the town of Christchurch, New Zealand, were reported on Friday, where at least 49 people were killed and 41 others wounded.
