Mexico, Apr. 25 (Notimex). - The city of La Paz, Baja California Sur, continues to position itself in the taste of tourists, who see in the destination the ideal place to vacation with family, in pairs or explore new adventures with friends, and proof of this is the high hotel occupancy registered in the so-called Easter Week of this holiday season.
The Association of Hotel and Tourism Companies (Emprhotur, for its acronym in Spanish) reported that the capital of Baja California Sur presented 95 percent occupancy during the first seven days of the holiday period due to Easter Week Holiday.
According to information from Agustín Olachea, president of Emprhotur, with this percentage of occupancy in its more than three thousand 300 rooms, La Paz presented an increase of 5.0 percent compared to the same period last year.
Among the attractions of the destination are its internationally recognized beaches, its sightings of marine life, its wide offer of ecotourism activities and the setting of international sporting events.
The Ministry of Tourism of the state explained that the most important international markets for the destination are the United States, Canada and Europe, besides being in the taste of nationals, especially those from the cities of Mexico and Guadalajara.
