Mexico, May 6 (Notimex).- The president and CEO of BlackRock, Laurence Fink, expressed to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, his interest that Mexico will soon host an investment summit headed by this company and the one he trusted, the Chief Executive attends.
Through a letter, he highlighted the commitment of BlackRock, with Mexico and its interest in the construction of Internet infrastructure throughout the country and for the development of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.
The businessman thanked the dialogue he had with López Obrador during the high-level summit between leaders and businessmen from Mexico and the United States, held in the mid-April in Merida and a new meeting with the president.
"I thank you for the opportunity you gave me to share my point of view on the key projects that you and your administration are working on. As I said during the dialogue, BlackRock is strongly committed to Mexico. We are ready for partnerships in the construction of Internet service infrastructure throughout the country and for the development of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, "he said.
"Thanks again for receiving me. My team is currently working to identify a date where I can hold an investment summit chaired by BlackRock and its administration. I hope to have the opportunity to meet them, "added the manager.
In the letter, dated May 1, he also thanked the President for having considered him as his "namesake" (both studied Political Science) and that together with the minister of Foreign Affairs, Marcelo Ebrard, they had taken the time to meet with his wife Samantha and with him.
