Villanueva, Zac., Mexico, May 6 (Notimex) .- The museum of the archaeological zone La Quemada, which is 25 years old will be remodeled this year, for which an investment of two million 600 thousand pesos will be made.
Apart from the historical value that this archaeological site has, since April 2017 it is the headquarters of the tourist occurrence Sidereal Observation, night event of appreciation of the celestial vault, unique in Mexico, which takes place on the days of the new moon.
To know the project of remodeling of one of the most important archaeological and tourist areas of the state, Governor Alejandro Tello made a tour of the place, where he noted the need for improvements.
Accompanied by the mayor of Villanueva, Miguel Torres, it was announced that the work to improve the infrastructure of this tourist site will last three months, it will begin at the end of June and will conclude in September.
The people in charge of the museum informed the state governor that the place had to be closed due to moisture problems that presented and put at risk the pieces on display, as well as hydraulic and electrical facilities.
The project includes the construction of classrooms, green areas, cafeteria and workshops, with the purpose of expanding the range of tourist services, as well as increasing the number of cultural and environmental events for visitors.
