Created in the Food Laboratory of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, after two years of research work, they created like in the cosmetics industry that biofilm and they did it through a technique called electrospinning, which is currently used to delay the process of decomposition and oxidation of food.
In a statement, the BUAP explained that the film is made with hydrolyzed collagen, micronutrients and antioxidants that are released gradually.
The project also participates academics Claudia Santacruz Vázquez and graduate students, Michelle Olguín and Jaime Andrés González Silva, and staff from the Innovation Center and Competitiveness Center (CICE, for its acronym in Spanish) of the BUAP provided commercial, legal and administrative support to put in the market the university product.
