Mexico, May 14 (Notimex).- Up to 50 percent of Mexican travelers recognize that Magic Towns are the perfect opportunity to escape from routine, in order to know the gems of this country, according to a survey of Booking.com.
The reservation platform said that 74 percent of tourists mentioned that these destinations preserve the tradition, culture and national heritage, and that "pueblear” (take a walk in town) is the best way to get to know the country.
In a statement, the firm said that 53 of the passers-by would visit one of these towns to escape on the weekend, and 61 percent indicate that this duration (two to three days) is ideal to fully understand the hidden treasures of the country.
To explore the wide variety of sites offered throughout the Mexican Republic, 72 percent of respondents would travel by car; while 37 percent say they visit a magical town every three months.
On the other hand, 68 percent shared that they are practical in their luggage, to carry the essentials, while those who travel by car will take everything so that they can to feel at home and allow them to be prepared in any situation (28 percent).
Booking.com explained that besides escaping from the rhythm of metropolitan areas, Mexicans associate the concept of "pueblear" with the possibility of connecting with the roots of their Mexican identity, discovering new places of tourist interest and experiencing unique gastronomic experiences.
